More than 200 Dominican Teachers received
Diplomas of Certification on "Quality of Basic Education"
On April 27, 2006, on an event celebrated at FUNGLODE's headquarters
in Santo Domingo, more than 200 Dominican Teachers received Diplomas of
Certification for the online training they recently completed on "Quality
of Basic Education".
GFDD/FUNGLODE launched Virtual Educa Caribe
during the Inter-American Forum on New Technologies
The Inter-American Forum on New Technologies was inaugurated April 25,
2006, with an opening event in which President Fernández and the First
Lady, Margarita Cedeño de Fernández were present, as well as the Ministers
of Education and Higher Education of the Dominican Republic, Alejandrina
Germán and Ligia Amada Melo, respectively. José María Antón, Secretary
General of Virtual Educa addressed the audience and opened the Forum.
GFDD/FUNGLODE at the IX International Book
Fair Santo Domingo 2006
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister
organization in the Dominican Republic Fundación Global Democracia y
Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) are participating in the IX International Book Fair

Group, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Dominican
Republic, and the UNDP in Santo Domingo, held an intensive one-day seminar
