GFDD/FUNGLODE and UNA-DR organize the New York-Dominican Republic Model of the United Nations 2006 (NYDRMUN)

The United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR), in collaboration with Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the UN, and Pace University, are organizing the New York-Dominican Republic Model of the United Nations 2006, to be held at UN Headquarters and at Pace University in New York City, on May 24-28, 2006. The event is part of the World Class Pace Model United Nations initiative.

This year, NYDRMUN 2006 will gather more than 600 students from schools, colleges and universities from the United States, Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries, who will debate current global issues in the UN context. Discussions will be in three of the official UN languages: Spanish, English and French.
