“How to Write Scripts”
New York, May 1st, 2007.
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo, in coordination with the Franklin Institute of the United State’s Embassy in the Dominican Republic and the National Film Direction, are hosting the second workshop on the art of script writing.
The workshop will be instructed by Marel Malaret and will emphasize concepts such as: the importance of conflict, script structure, characters, action, scene creation, and dialogue.
Malaret studied in Barcelona, where she resided for more than eleven years.
She has worked as a professor of script writing at the Micro Obert School of Radio, Film and Television. She is currently the producer of the Biography Program: “Prohibido Olvidar,” a program of the Communications School at the University of Puerto Rico. She is also a professor of script writing at both the Universidad de Puerto Rico and the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico.
The course is taking place at FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo from April 30 - May 4, 2007 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., and from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m..
