THE SECRETARY OF EDUCATION OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (SEE), FUNGLODE/GFDD AND MICROSOFT COORDINATED THE WORKSHOP "DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE"
June 28th, 2005.-

The Secretary of Education of the Dominican Republic (SEE), FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft coordinated the workshop “Development of Educational Software”
June 28th, 2005.- This workshop, which took place in the computer lab in FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo, is part of the Partnership in Learning program coordinated by the Secretary of Education of the Dominican
Republic, FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft. This event will be complemented by the seminar “Development of Educational Content in Digital Form” which took take place on June 29th, 2005.

The objective of this workshop is to promote the development of educational software by the members of the educational community in the Dominican Republic. The development of this software aims at facilitating and improving the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom. During the event, the program included presentations from diverse educational institutions from all over the World that have developed similar programs and delivered concrete results. Presenters included two experts from the
Ministry of Education from Cuba as well as other pedagogic specialist from the Dominican Republic, Mrs. Karenia Alvarez Alfonso and Mr. Osmely Fernández.
This activity is part of FUNGLODE’s and GFDD efforts to contribute to the professional training of all sectors of society in the Dominican Republic. It is expected that this course will be taught on several occasions throughout the year.
