PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), together with its sister institution Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) in Santo Domingo, and in collaboration with its partners in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe, designs and implements projects and programs that contribute to the social, economic and democratic development of the Dominican Republic and the Region.

Thanks to alliances created between institutions, and due to their exchange of experiences, transfer of knowledge and sharing of best practices, productive synergies are being created that work towards the benefit of professionals, experts, academics, researches, students and general public in the Dominican Republic and the countries involved.

Some of the main thematic areas of the Foundation's work are: education, environment and sustainable development, media, information and communications technology, economy, international affairs, security and globalization.

The programs promote greater public awareness and better informed public opinion regarding issues of relevance; contribute to the professional development of human resources crucial for the country's development; foster international exchange of students and experts; and create ground for sound, long-lasting collaborative initiatives that support the country's sustainable development.
