PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

Global Media Arts Institute

The Global Media Arts Institute is the institution created and developed by GFDD/FUNGLODE with the aim to offer
initiation courses and professional development programs, both onsite and online (in coordination with Univirtual Global Dominicana), in audiovisual matters, with special emphasis on television and film production.

Its mission is to contribute to the creation of a well-trained and highly professional work force in these industries,
on a national scale and abroad. At the same time, it develops programs and activities that enhance public awareness,
understanding and appreciation of multimedia and their role in society.

The Global Multimedia Institute will regularly offer introductory as well as intermediate and advanced courses. It will
promote cultural events to support film and television initiatives.

Some partners in this program are: The ‘Opportunity Program’ of New York University; One Race Films; among others.

For more information about the activities and events organized by Global Foundation for Democracy and Development
