Inauguration of Sixth Annual Dominican Republic Model United Nations
Today, March 13, 2008, over 500 high school and college students, as well as teachers and professors, from the Dominican Republic, the United States and the region assembled at Fordham University in New York City to celebrate the inauguration of the Sixth Annual Dominican Republic Model United Nations (NYDRMUN), organized by the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR), in collaboration with Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación
Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE).

Over 500 Dominican and International Students Will Represent UN Member States at NYDRMUN 2008
Around 500 young people from the Dominican Republic and other countries and regions around the world will be in session at Fordham University carrying out the duties of Ambassadors from the United Nations. On the last day of their work, they will receive Lecture Conferences from actual UN ambassadors at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

150 Organizations Will Attend InteRDom Annual Review
The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will hold its third Annual Review, March 26, 2008. Around 150 national and international institutions based in the Dominican Republic will participate in this event.
