GFDD Acknowledges its Supporters at Special Christmas Dinner

December 12, 2011

On Monday, December 12, 2011, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development hosted its annual Holiday Dinner Party & Celebration at the stylish and lively Victo’s Cafe on Manhattan’s West Side. The staff of GFDD was honored to have as their guests prominent and distinguished members from the United Nations, the Diplomatic and Press corps, local government and the greater New York Dominican community.

Natasha Despotovic, GFDD Executive Director, welcomed guests to the event and invited them to enjoy a newly produced video presentation on the organization documenting GFDD’s varied programs and initiatives all designed to help advance the social, economic and democratic development of the Dominican Republic.

The video presentation was then followed by a delicious dinner of authentic Latin cuisine allowing the more than 100 attendees to get to know one another and form new allegiances in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The evening was capped off by an exciting raffle in which winning guests were presented with an array of Dominican memorabilia and luxury items, donated both by GFDD and its supporters.

The Dinner was a special opportunity to
gather friends, donors, supporters and collaborators who, over the last ten years, have all helped GFDD grow into a leading voice for Dominicans and into an organization dedicated to the promotion of education, culture and environmental awareness both in the DR and abroad. Many of those who attended the event expressed their interest in future collaborations with the Global Foundation and GFDD looks forward to solidifying these partnerships in 2012. .
