Dominican Week in the US 2007

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in association with the Semanadom Committee, Grupo Profesionales Dominicanos (GPD) of Washington DC,
Goldman Sachs and Universidad APEC (UNAPEC), will be organizing Dominican Week in the United States. The week-long series of events will take place in Washington DC, Monday and Tuesday, September 17-18, and in New York
City
, Wednesday and Thursday, September 19-20.

 

Dominican Week in the US is designed to gather Dominican and US government officials, private sector representatives and members of the cultural arts community together with leading Dominican and US institutions, associations, multilaterals and universities such as the World Bank, the Exim Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development, Fundación Global
Democracia y Desarrollo, the US Chamber of Commerce and Goldman Sachs, among others.

 

The goals of the Dominican Week are:

 

·         to depict the strength of the thriving Dominican community in this country;

·         to stress the contribution the Dominican
community is making to this country;
