Dr. Leonel Fernández to Launch Book Collection in New York and Florida: “Democracy, Modernity and Progress”

President of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), Dr. Leonel Fernández, will be holding book launches at the end of April in New York and Florida, for his new publication, a compilation of political speeches delivered during his three presidential terms, previously launched in Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.

“Democracy, Modernity and Progress: Speeches by
President Leonel Fernández,” is the title of the collection of four volumes published by the publishing house Funglode and prefaced by the journalist Rafael Núñez, who was director of communications during Fernández governments. The book collection includes inaugural speeches, as well as interventions in international forums, including the United Nations.

On Friday, April 28, a book launch will take place in New York City. On Saturday, April 29, Dr. Fernández will hold a book launch in Doral, Florida. At both events, following a discussion with Dr. Fernández about the book and his time in office, the former president will participate in a Q&A session. At the end of each launch, Dr. Fernández will sign books for the audience.
