GFDD and FUNGLODE Participate in Forum on Education and Technology in Guatemala

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) participated in the program, “Education and Technology Forum: An Opportunity for Latin America,” that took place in Antigua, Guatemala, October 3-5, 2007. GFDD and FUNGLODE were represented at the conference by Technology and Education Coordinator, Paúl Goris.

 

The
forum exposed participants to new technologies designed to enhance educational instruction.

 

Representatives from Microsoft and Intel presented the didactic tools, accessible via Intel’s Classmate PC, aimed at furthering student learning.

 

GFDD and FUNGLODE, along with Microsoft’s Partners in Learning Program and the Dominican Ministry of Education, have
provided training in the use of technological tools for educational instruction to hundreds of public school teachers.

 

GFDD and FUNGLODE support initiatives that seek to advance education through the utilization of new technologies.
