GMAI Announces Film and Television Courses for 2008

Throughout 2008, GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI) will offer a series of courses on production and cinematography, as part of its overall mission to advance the development of the cinematographic industry in the Dominican Republic.
 
All GMAI courses beginning in February, in collaboration with the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV – International
School of Film and Television) in Cuba, will take place at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo.
 
  GMAI’s 2008 program features workshops on pertinent themes such as:
Cinematographic Scriptwriting,
Photography for Film, Dramatic Construction, the Production of Great Works, the Realization of Documentary Films, and Adobe After Effect.
 
The year-long program series will commence with the workshop, “Cinematographic Scriptwriting.” It will take place February 18-22, and will be instructed by renowned Cuban Novelist and Screenwriter, Eliseo
Altunaga. The course is directed towards students and professionals in the areas of cinematography and communications. This workshop is limited to 20 persons.

exist.
 
GMAI is dedicated to providing up-in-coming professionals in the television and film industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic
development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.
