(PLD).

For his part, FUNGLODE’s Executive Director, Marco Herrera, stressed the importance of the foundation’s joining UNESCO, since they have common goals.

"FUNGLODE was created with the purpose of becoming the first center of strategic thinking in the Dominican Republic, in order to formulate innovative proposals of a strategic and critical nature on all the discussion issues that are important to the Dominican Republic,
Latin America and the Caribbean," Herrera pointed out. He also thanked the businessmen and other personalities, both Dominican and foreign, who traveled to this capital city to participate in the opening of FUNGLODE and GFDD headquarters at UNESCO.

The opening of this office is part of a strategic cooperation agreement between UNESCO and FUNGLODE and GFDD, and its objective is to serve as a liaison in the development of institutional relations among Dominican
academic and educational institutions and to promote intellectual and scientific exchanges between Dominican and European researchers.
