Upcoming Environmental Film Screenings at UNIBE University

Public screenings of Lago Enriquillo… Prelude to Climate Change; Last Call; Planet Ocean; and the GFDD production Garbage or Resource: A Dominican Republic Experience will take place at UNIBE University during the first week of June. The screenings are part of the year-round Environmental Film Screenings Program, and take place during the 2015 Semana del
Ambiente
 of UNIBE.

The first film screening, Lago Enriquillo… Prelude to Climate Change, will take place on June 1 at 4 p.m. The director of the film, Fernando Báez will be present for the showing and a discussion after. Garbage or Resource: A Dominican Republic Experience will show on June 2 at 9 p.m., and will be followed by a ReCrearte workshop
featuring recycled art. Last Call will be shown on June 3 at 2 p.m., and Planet Ocean will be screened on June 6 at 10 a.m.

This event is possible thanks to a signed agreement between the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) and the Environmental Network of Dominican Universities (RAUDO by its Spanish acronym). Both parties expressed an interest in supporting the diffusion and development of activities to raise
environmental awareness in the Dominican Republic, particularly in universities.

All screenings will take place at the Auditorio Principal/Salón de Referencias. UNIBE. Ave. Francia #129, Gazcue. Santo Domingo, R.D.
