GFDD and FUNGLODE Offer Course on Website Design and Development

This course’s objective was to train teachers and students in the necessary tools such as HTML, Javascript y XML to develop web sites and publish them on the Internet. The course focused on demonstrating and teaching the best practices in the composition of key elements used in educational websites, in order to enable the participants to contribute to the educational sector of the Dominican Republic.

This
course consisted of 15 hours of training with an accredited instructor and took place in the computer lab of FUNGLODE’s headquarters in the Santo Domingo. Fifteen students from different sectors and various backgrounds took part in the learning process

This activity is part of FUNGLODE’s and GFDD efforts to contribute to the professional training of all sectors of society in the DR. It is expected that this course will be taught in several occasions
throughout the year.

Also, the course is part of the Partners in Learning program, an initiative sponsored by Microsoft and focused on professional development of teachers in the ICT area.
