GFDD Closes 2019 InteRDom Summer EditionAugust 19, 2019
On August 14th, 2019, with a cozy and friendly dinner with the program’s staff and participants at Restaurant El Higuero in Santo Domingo, GFDD’s New York Office Director, Yamile Eusebio, closed the 2019 Summer edition of the InteRDom Program.
Eusebio said that GFDD was more than happy with these three ladies’ participation and felt honored to have had them as part of InteRDom. “We know this is a personal and professional enriching experience for you and wish you good luck and a lot of success in your future!”.
Camryn Colette, Environmental Science student from Shenandoah University did her internship at ANAMAR, hosted by Omar Shamir Reynoso; and Jessica de los Santos, a Biology student from William College, and Marlene Beltre, Criminal Justice student from CUNY John Jay College, did theirs at MUDE, hosted by Wanda Polanco.
All three young ladies received outstanding reviews from their supervisors and enjoyed their experiences in the Dominican Republic. “Camryn is an exceptional young woman; she demonstrated commitment and discipline with all the responsibilities that were assigned to her”, noted Reynoso. Polanco, on her side, mentioned that they were very satisfied with both Jessica and Marlene’s work with them and wished them the best of luck in their professional future.
This Summer edition started on June 3rd and went on for three months. GFDD is currently accepting applications for the 2019 Fall/Winter InteRDom edition.
InteRDom is a competitive internship, research and study program in the Dominican Republic that promotes professional, academic and cultural exchange between students, universities, professionals, businesses and non-governmental organizations on both national and international scales.
