Global Media Arts Institute and EICTV Present the Workshop: Art Direction

The Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), in collaboration with the International School for Film and Television (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, will present the workshop: “Art Direction.” The workshop will take place June 25-29, 2007 from 6:00 – 10:00 pm at FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo.
 
During the course of this workshop, participants will
partake in theoretical and practical classes on the art of visual design.
 
Workshop participants will develop a greater understanding of the following areas:
 
 
This workshop is directed towards Art Directors, Set Designers, Photographers,
Directors of Television Series, and students studying Film Direction, Aesthetic Arts, and/or Audiovisual Communications.
 
Workshop instruction will be provided by Martha Méndez Iturriaga. Méndez Iturriaga has a degree in Cinematography from the National School of Dramatic Arts in Lima, Peru, and is a thesis advisor at the International School for Film and Television (EICTV). She has worked as an Art Director on
many films, miniseries, soap operas, and operas, including: “La boca del lobo” (“The Mouth of the Wolf”), “Todos somos estrellas” (“We’re All Stars”), “El hombre que quiere morir” (“The Man that Wants to Die”), “Carmín,” and “Madame
Butterfly.”
