GMAI Awards Dominican Students Scholarships to Carry-Out Internships in NYC

GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), New York University’s Opportunity Program, and One Race Films awarded 6 Dominican students scholarships to participate in a television and film production program in New York City. This program will take place July 9 – August 19, 2007.

 

Scholarships have been awarded to the following students:

Katy Cruz (Santo Domingo Este, DR)

María Patricia Díaz (La Vega, DR)

Antonio Maldonado (Santo Domingo Este, DR)

María Victoria Hernández (Santiago, DR)

Xiomara Jones (Santo Domingo, DR)

 

The Global Media Arts Institute is dedicated to providing comprehensive
training in all areas of television and film production. The Institute seeks to provide up-in-coming professionals in the television and film industry with instruction in the latest cinematographic techniques. This effort is part of GMAI’s greater initiative to expand the television and film industry in the Dominican Republic.

 

GFDD and FUNGLODE conduct collaborative work with prestigious international institutions and
programs such as New York University’s Opportunity Program and One Race Films.
