Workshop on Cinematographic Scriptwriting

GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI) will be offering the workshop, Cinematographic Scriptwriting, February 11-15, 2008, from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo.

The course is designed to provide students with theoretical and practical instruction on the art of cinematographic scriptwriting, and will include film analysis and writing assignments. Students and professionals in the fields of
communications, journalism and literature are strongly urged to take this class. The workshop will be taught by renowned Cuban Novelist and Scriptwriter, Eliseo Altunaga.

The cost of the program is RD$8,500.00 per person. There is a workshop limit of 20 participants.

GMAI is dedicated to providing up-in-coming professionals in the television and film industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its
overall mission to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.
