"This is a pedagogical strategy for environmental education at all levels, which contributes to reducing waste in classrooms and responsible food packaging use," she said.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of
Cooperativa de Ahorros y Préstamos Vega Real gave words of appreciation and motivation to the participants, while the Executive Director of the Jaragua Group, Yvonne Arias, spoke on "Sustainable Development and Natural Capital". ReCrearte is a practical education initiative that offers women, youth and children workshops on
creative recycling. The program shows how recycling waste can empower individuals and communities by creating alternative sources of income. Through this program GFDD/Funglode seeks to involve Dominican communities in reshaping the way we think about waste, thus promoting the principle of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
