Call for Applicants: GFDD UN Programs Volunteer Position

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) is now seeking well qualified candidates for a UN Programs volunteer position in its New York City office.

The UN Programs Volunteer will provide support with international affairs initiatives such as the foundation’s UN programs, the GFDD Global Roundtables and the Global Rountable Issues Blog. The volunteer will also gather and analyze information in the areas of International Policy
and UN Affairs, climate change and sustainability as well as other topics related to international development.

The volunteer’s responsibilities will include, attending conferences and side events at the United Nations, martketing the presence of GFDD at UN events and creating content for the Global Roundtable Issues Blog. The volunteer will also manage GFDD’s social media accounts to promote the Blog and GFDD activities at the United Nations. The
completion of research assignments and other duties as assigned will be required.

Qualified candidates should be bilingual (English and Spanish), have a background in data analysis and posses strong research skills. The volunteer should have an interest in the international policy/development field.

The position will begin in July and end in December 2018 with the possibility for extension.
