This activity was coordinated by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), The Global Development Learning Network of the World Bank (GDLN) with the support
of the International Fund for Cooperation and Development of Taiwan (IFCD-Taiwan).

The videoconference’s agenda focused in presenting successful experiences in rice production from various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean , including the development of agri-business programs, marketing, investment opportunities and quality and process of production. The experiences and interventions by each institution served as
recommendations for the IFCD-Taiwan to continue its collaboration in the region.

The dialogue counted with the participation of the Ambassador of Taiwan in Nicaragua and Honduras from the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC . In the Dominican Republic , the dialogue was transmitted in the FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo and counted with the participation of more than 90 representatives from the private and public sector interested
in the topic. Through this activity the Dominican representatives were able to learn and know more about experiences from Peru , Nicaragua and Honduras , and consider developing partnerships and alliances with other similar institutions in those countries and within the Dominican Republic .

The transmission of this dialogue is part of an agreement signed by FUNGLODE, GFDD and YABT, whose objective is to transfer knowledge and
experiences from other countries in Latin America in areas relevant to business entrepreneurship.
