Dominican Artisans Present Their Works with Larimar, Amber and Precious Woods in Washington, D.C.

Washington, DC – The Dominican Republic Embassy to the United States, in collaboration with Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Manos Dominicanas, ProArtesanía RD, Cooperativa Nacional de Productos y Servicios Múltiples de Artesanos (COOPPNARTED) and the Federación Dominicana de Artesanos y Organismos Afines (FEDARTE), hosted an arts and crafts bazaar at the DR Embassy in Washington, D.C. in commemoration of Mothers’ Day.

Visitors were able to shop handmade products, including artisanal work on precious woods, larimar and amber, as well as natural materials.

“This experience –to be able to present and sell our work in the capital of the United States, is priceless to us. We are very happy to be here!”, said one of the craftsman.

This group of artisanscame to the U.S. capital to participate in the “Around the World Embassy Tour” (PassportDC), a Meet & Greet at GFDD, and this bazaar, among other activities.
