DREFF Convenes GFN Members and Friends in Washington, DC

March 15, 2019

The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), a Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) initiative, convened members of the Green Film Network (GFN) and other environmental filmmakers from around the world at a casual gathering in its Washington, DC office.

The networking meeting, a side event of the 2019 Environmental Film Festival on the Nation’s Capital (DCEFF), brought together filmmakers, producers, media experts, film curators, and representatives from environmental film festivals. Participants enjoyed a warm and delicious breakfast and shared their experiences as well as interesting anecdotes with each other.

Natasha Despotovic, DREFF’s Director and GFDD’s Executive Director, gave the welcoming remarks and lead the conversation, including sharing her experience as a special guest at the 1st Forum of Environmental Film Festivals held in Seia last October.

Peter O’Brien and Peggy Parsons, both members of the Board of DCEFF, were among the present. DREFF and DCEFF have been partners for many years, promoting sustainability and environmental filmmaking.
