Get Tips on Preparing for Your Career in Business at Manhattanville College

The InteRDom program, in collaboration with the School of Business at Manhattanville College, invite all undergraduate and graduate students and Manhattanville community members to attend a panel discussion and networking session entitled, “Preparing for your Career in Business,” Thursday, March 5, 2015. The free event will be held from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the Ophir Dining Room Library of Reid Castle at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, and
refreshments will be served.

The panel discussion will feature the personal testimonies and resume and career planning tips from business professionals both in the Dominican Republic and the United States.  It also features the participation of university career services representatives and a student testimonial. The panelists include: Dr. Luis Jose Asilis, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and member of the strategic committee of Group Metro in Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic; Frank Gutierrez, board member/President,  Dominicans on Wall Street (DOWS) and Vice President, J.P. Morgan Asset Management in New York; Shannon Hargrove, Director, Center for Career Development at Manhattanville College; Elizabeth Morales, Dominican professional and Master’s candidate at Manhattanville College; and Mandy Sciacchitano, InteRDom and Fellows Program Manager.

Immediately following the panel discussion, the audience will be
able pose questions to the panelists and learn about what they look for in potential hires, and then participate in a networking session with all panelists and other prominent business professionals.

InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the
opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
