GFDD and FUNGLODE Participate in CITICED 2007

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) are participating in the V International Congress on Information, Communication and Long Distance Education Technologies (CITICED), “Development and Capacity Building in Distance Education,” October 3-5, 2007 at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD). GFDD and FUNGLODE are represented by Educational Activities
Coordinator, Yamile Eusebio.
 
The event is hosted by the University and the Dominican Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and gathers representatives from governmental, non-governmental, academic, civil society and private sector institutions.
 
CITICED promotes the use of open and distance education in achieving millennium goals in the area of higher education
and places particular emphasis on the adoption of learning strategies and pedagogical evaluation systems. It also seeks to create a space for exchange between the academic, scientific and business communities in order to advance discussion on social inclusion and integration.
