GFDD has been admitted to join several agencies within the United Nations

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) has been admitted to join several agencies within the United Nations as an institution with Consultative Status.GFDD has joined the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Department of Public Information (DPI), the Global Compact Office, the Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the World Summit on Information
Society (WSIS).

> The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is responsible for promoting higher standards of living, full employment, and economic and social progress; identifying solutions to international economic, social and health problems; facilitating international cultural and educational cooperation; and encouraging universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. GFDD affiliation received the approval of 54 countries for its
ability and ample experience and dedication to research and discuss global issues that involve the well-being of Dominicans and the sustainable development of the country

> The United Nations Conference on
Trade and Development (UNCTAD) aims at the development-friendly integration of developing countries into the world economy. FUNGLODE representatives will have a chance to discuss trade development issues and share the Dominican experience with other participants at UNCTAD’s forum for intergovernmental discussions and deliberations in Geneva. NGOs with Consultative Status have the privilege to be the only institutions in civil society to address the Governments in the Institution.

> The UN Department of Public Information (DPI) recognized FUNGLODE as an organization committed to the promotion and dissemination of information on UN activities programs.
