GFDD Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Virtual Educa

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development, GFDD, and Virtual Educa signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of this MOU is to expand the existing agreement of collaboration signed in November 2002, allowing the introduction of GFDD into the larger Agreement existing among Virtual Educa, the Spanish-American General Secretariat for Development (SECIB for its initials in Spanish,) the Organization of American States (OAS), and the National
University for Distance Education of Spain (UNED for its initials in Spanish.)

The document was signed by Natasha Despotovic, Executive Director of GFDD and José María Antón, Secretary General for Virtual Educa.

The purpose of this agreement is to work together in different projects of mutual interest in the field of technology and education and in those particular projects resulting from the
"Strategic Plan in New Technologies" for Spain and Latin America in response to the local and regional educational needs in technology.
