GFDD to Partner with UNA-USA Council of Organizations and other NGOs for International Conference at the UN on Novel Diagnostics and Affordable Treatments in Support of Good Health

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) in partnership with the United Nations Association of America Council of Organizations (UNA USA COO) and the Institute for Life Sciences Collaboration will host an International Conference on Novel Diagnostics & Affordable Treatments, titled Advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health & Well-being).

This half-day event held at the Church Center for the United Nations in
New York City is an opportunity to chart at least part of the global landscape and to open the door to potential approaches to meeting the challenges so presented.

The objective is to foster outspoken participation by all present, leading to the collaborative effort clearly needed at all levels and
in both developed and developing countries.

Featuring presentations by World Bank staff, pharmaceutical industry experts and representatives of civil society organizations specializing in public health issues, the discussion will consider the issue of public health and affordable treatments. It will be followed by an interactive Q&A session with the audience.
