InteRDom Participates in Summer Opportunities Fair at Harvard University

Members of the InteRDom team travelled to Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Friday, December 12 to participate in the Summer Opportunities Fair given by the Office of Career Services. The fair, which was attended by more than 1,000 students, provided students with the opportunity to visit the InteRDom booth and talk with representatives about the program and the internship opportunities available to them. They received brochures and application information, turned in their resumes for consideration and watched a short video showing additional information and

Spanning two sites, the Gutman Library Conference Room and the Radcliffe Gymnasium, the fair featured over 80 organizations, including Microsoft, the New England Aquarium, Madison Square Garden, Abercrombie, J.P. Morgan, Nationwide Insurance, Boston Ballet School,
and a variety of Harvard departmental groups that offer internship opportunities to student through their academic schools. InteRDom was able to establish contact with many of these companies and organizations interested in getting to know InteRDom students and considering them for internship opportunities.

InteRDom team members arrived at Harvard on Thursday, December 11 and held a series of meetings with University representatives from the Office of Career Services, the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, the Harvard Divinity School and the Office of International Programs in order to present the program and its opportunities for studentsand to discuss various ways of collaboration.
InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their field of study.
The Program fostersand promotes the professional, academic, scientific, technological and cultural exchange of students and professionals in public, private and non-profit organizations of the Dominican Republic. It significantly contributes to the development of the nation’s employment sector and the advancement of academic research, while providing spaces for personal and professional growth, internationalization and multicultural understanding.
