Portal Dominicanaonline.org Launches a Special Section Dedicated to the 2008 Santo Domingo International Book Fair

Portal Dominicanaonline.org, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), has launched a special section dedicated exclusively to one of the most important cultural events of the Dominican Republic, the Santo Domingo International Book
Fair, which will this year celebrate its eleventh edition.

 

The section, http://www.dominicanaonline.org/portal/english/cpo_ferias.asp, contains detailed information concerning all the events that will take place throughout the two week long cultural event, which was inaugurated yesterday at
Santo Domingo’s Plaza de la Cultura (Plaza of Culture). In addition to daily programming and up-to-the-minute news articles, users will be able to easily access biographies of well-respected writers, and find out which national and international figures will be participating in the fair, as well as which publications will be premiered. Portal visitors will also be able to obtain schedules of the daily concerts that will take place during the different cultural settings in honor of
the event, amongst other things.
