Apply to InteRDom to Spend the Fall Semester Working for Dominican Republic Global Film Festival

May 18, 2009
The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is currently accepting applications for the Fall Semester (September 8 –December 17, 2009), just in
time for the Annual Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF). InteRDom is looking for interns to assist with the festival in a variety of different ways including: marketing, communications, business and community outreach.  The deadline to submit applications is July 3, 2009.
Through the InteRDom Program, both undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of academic courses in Spanish with other Dominican students at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). This presents an excellent opportunity for students to further their studies within a Spanish-speaking context, permitting accelerated growth in the area of language acquisition and application. See List of Courses Open to All InteRDom Students

One of the featured course offerings for the fall is a seminar on how to write a screenplay. The course is conducted in Spanish and is especially attractive for students with an interest in DRGFF and cinema,
especially in Latin America.
Students that need extra reinforcement in the Spanish language can also choose to take a specialized intermediate course to give their language skills an extra boost.
