International Conference of the Americas (CILA) 2006

The ConferenceThe United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR), in collaboration with the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD/FUNGLODE), have joined forces in organizing the largest conference about international affairs for young people in Latin America and the Caribbean. From the 11th to the 15th of October, 2006, the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center in Punta Cana will become a meeting point for more than 1,500 young people from different regions of the Dominican Republic and other
countries.

They will live and work together in an environment of diplomacy and cooperation in search for solutions to the challenges of which the international community faces everyday. The CILA 2006 will host 14 discussion committees which will simulate the different organs and
commissions of the United Nations and other regional and international multilateral institutions. In addition, there will be seminars, conferences, workshops and exhibitions related to these international themes.
