Journalism and Good Governance in Latin America and the Caribbean
“A journalist that denounces corruption ought to have the moral authority to do so”, Alejandro Miró Quesada, President of the Interamerican Press Society, declared during the conference “Journalism and Good Governance in Latin America and The Caribbean” as part of the 6th Lecture of the Americas.

Workshop on Educational Software Development
The Secretary of Education of the Dominican Republic (SEE), FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft coordinated the workshop “Development of Educational Software” June 28th, 2005.- This workshop, which took place in the computer lab in FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo, is part of the Partnership in Learning program coordinated by the Secretary of Education of the Dominican Republic, FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft.

Virtual Educa constitutes an Inter-American meeting place for institutions, private sector, education networks, training institutions and civil society. It has become a reflection of the inter-american dialogue and a manifestation of the Inter-American Community of Nations on training and social development.

Representatives of the 34 nation members of the Organization of American States (OAS) gathered in Florida for a three-day summit to discuss the topic of “Delivering the Benefits of Democracy”.

The Role of Education in Community Development: Teacher Training in Curriculum Design
This conference was delivered by Pedro Noguera, Director of the Metropolitan Center of Urban Education at New York University in FUNGLODE’s auditorium in the Dominican Republic.
