    “A journalist that denounces corruption ought to have the moral authority to do so”, Alejandro Miró Quesada, President of the Interamerican Press Society, declared during the conference “Journalism and Good Governance in Latin America and The Caribbean” as part of the 6th Lecture of the Americas.

    The Secretary of Education of the Dominican Republic (SEE), FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft coordinated the workshop “Development of Educational Software” June 28th, 2005.- This workshop, which took place in the computer lab in FUNGLODE’s headquarters in Santo Domingo, is part of the Partnership in Learning program coordinated by the Secretary of Education of the Dominican Republic, FUNGLODE/GFDD and Microsoft.

    In collaboration with Microsoft and Virtual Educa, FUNGLODE – GFDD coordinated the session “Applying Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to Education: Strategic Partnerships between the Civil Society and the Public and Private Sectors”.

    Virtual Educa constitutes an Inter-American meeting place for institutions, private sector, education networks, training institutions and civil society. It has become a reflection of the inter-american dialogue and a manifestation of the Inter-American Community of Nations on training and social development.

  • Learning for the Challenges of Real Life

    Professor Jaume Sarramona, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, talked about the challenges and responsibilities the school has to face in preparing citizens for the new millennium.
