GFDD, FUNGLODE and FNPI Present Workshop: How to Write for a Newspaper
During the first week of the workshop, which took place in Cartagena, Colombia from July 18th to August 23rd, 2005, the scholarship recipient had the opportunity to review the current work developed by the world’s most important newspapers, learning from the different types of genres in journalism. During the following three weeks, the students engaged in dynamic practices simulating the daily work at a Newspaper.

Hemispheric security within democratic values was the topic of the panel discussion that gathered President Fernández, Ambassador Juan Gabriel Valdés, especial UN envoy to Haiti , Joseph Tulchin, Director of the Latin American Program at the Woodrow Wilson Center , and Raúl Benítez Manaut, scholar and professor at the Autonomous University of Mexico.
