  • GMAI Presents Conference on Educational and Cultural Television

    Today, July 28, 2008, the Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will present the conference, “Educational and Cultural Television, the Case of Brazil: Concepts, Laws, Development and Future.”

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Participate in Partners Against Poverty Meeting Organized by PPAF

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) participated in the meeting, “Partners Against Poverty – Awareness, Agreements and Action,” organized by the Public-Private Alliance Foundation (PPAF), on July 16, 2008, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

  • InteRDom Organizes Weekend Excursion to Las Galeras

    During the previous weekend, the InteRDom Program organized a trip to the Samaná Penninsula for an overnight stay in Las Galeras, renown worldwide for its exquisite virgin landscapes. Travelling along the newly constructed Samaná highway, the group had the opportunity to view a cross section of the nation’s countryside. Upon arriving at the hotel Villa Serena, students swam, explored the beach, rode bikes along trails that paralleled the coastline and relaxed while enjoying the
    scenic grounds of the hotel.

  • InteRDom Offers Seminar on Haitian Immigrants in the Dominican Republic

    The internship program, InteRDom, in partnership with the Pan American Development Foundation, will present as part of their 2008 Summer Academic Program, “Haitian Immigrants in the Dominican Republic.” The event will take place July 21st and 28th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, on the second floor of FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo.

  • Hundreds of People Visit the Virtual Educa Caribe Stand at Virtual Educa 2008 in Spain

    As part of their participation in Virtual Educa 2008, taking place July 14-18 in Zaragoza, Spain, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Virtual Educa Caribe (VEC) have erected a stand to announce and promote Virtual Educa 2010 in the Dominican Republic. The stand has already received the attention of hundreds of visitors.
