  • World View at Dominican Film Fest

    Nearly thirty feature-length fiction and documentary films, many of them premieres, have been confirmed to be screened during the third edition of the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF), which will be held November 18-22, 2009, in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Nagua.

  • Dominican Students Conclude Classes at NYU

    On August 13, six Dominican students awarded scholarships from the Global Multimedia Arts Institute (GMAI), New York University’s Opportunity Program and the One Race Film Foundation partook in the graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of the six-week course, during which student productions were screened.

    On August 18, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in collaboration with the Organization of the American States’ Department of Sustainable Development (DDS/OAS), organized a Panel Discussion on Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) in Latin America and the Caribbean at FUNGLODE headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
