Global Foundation for Democracy and Development Launches New Monthly Series, “The Global Roundtable,” in Partnership with South-South News
On Tuesday, January 31st, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) will launch its new monthly series, “The Global Roundtable,” in partnership with South-South News. The objective of the program is to promote dialogue on issues of international concern. Each broadcast will feature a discussion with a prominent international figure. The first of the series will highlight H.E. Alexandru Cujba, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations and
former Vice President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Representatives from Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister institution in Santo Domingo Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) attended the 124th Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association that took place in San Diego, California, January 6-9, 2011.

Samana hosts the acclaimed exhibition of aerial photographs: New Perspectives: Dominican Republic
On January 28, 2011, the successful exhibition of aerial photographs New Perspectives: Dominican Republic will open at the Malecón, Bahía de Samaná. The exhibit is a traveling photo display of Dominican landscapes and iconic tourist attractions by acclaimed Franco-Dominican photographer Anne Casale.
