GFDD and FUNGLODE Publications Start to Go Global
GFDD and FUNGLODE are honored to announce the second revised edition of the New Perspectives: Dominican Republic photo book. The new edition, which came out in September has been registered under the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) system, which is a unique numeric commercial book identifier system, making the publication accessible to a wider audience.

GFDD to Attend the Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) will attend the 126th Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association (AHA) in Chicago, Illinois, January 5-8, 2012.

GFDD and FUNGLODE Showcases the Teacher Training Program of the MOFET Institute
Wednesday November 23,, 2011, by Sara Ziv, Director of its International Department, and hosted by Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) in conjunction with FUNGLODE’s sister organization, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD).

FUNGLODE and GFDD to host Conference based on Israeli Teacher Training Model
On November 23, GFDD and FUNGLODE will host a conference titled “Teacher Education in Israel: the MOFET Institute Model and its Specialization in Teacher Training,” by Dr. Sara Ziv, Director of the International Department at the MOFET Institute in Israel.

InteRDom Forms New Connections and Gains Broader Perspective at CIEE Annual Conference
For the first time in program history, InteRDom representatives joined over 700 international education professionals to discuss new trends and perspectives in global education at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) 2011 Annual Conference from November 16-19 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Audience Experiences the High Life at Dominican Get-togethers in the Big Apple
November’s chilly night air was offset by mounting anticipation at Global Foundation for Democracy and Development’s (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), 4th Dominican Get-Together in the Big Apple. The audience would be hearing from people who had literally been at the top of the world, a feat that many of us could not even fathom and only a mere handful (less than 300) have ever accomplished.

GFDD Inaugural Press Conference with Members of the New York Area Press
Members of the Spanish-speaking New York metropolitan area press, along with the diplomatic corps, joined Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) executives and staff, for its inaugural press conference. The focus of the press conference was to bring to light the Foundation’s work. The event, which included brunch, was held at the Roger Smith Hotel in Manhattan.

Dominican Get-togethers in the Big Apple Reaches New Heights
On November 18, GFDD and FUNGLODE’s will convene another exciting edition of their initiative Dominican Get-Togethers in The Big Apple, at the Columbia University Faculty House, in Harlem, New York.

GFDD and FUNGLODE Introduce the New Educational Portal of the Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television (TEIb) Program
The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), (Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), the Ibero-American Association of Educational Television (ATEI), and the Ministry of Education (MINERD) presented the new portal of the Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television (TEIb ), at FUNGLODE headquarters in Santo Domingo.

GFDD and FUNGLODE preferred candidates as strategic partners of the recently created EU-LAC Foundation
GFDD’s Washington, DC director, Asuncion Sanz, represented GFDD and FUNGLODE at the October 14 Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) of the EU-LAC and made a presentation for its candidacy to become one of the two strategic partners for LAC at the EU-LAC Foundation.
