GFDD and FUNGLODE to Participate in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group
On April 19 – 21, GFDD and FUNGLODE were in attendance of the 2013 Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group that took place in Washington DC. The Foundations’ specific interest was the Civil Society Forum in which they actively participated from April 17-21.

Constanza’s Spring Fair with Environmental Film Screenings
The DR Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), has joined forces with Constanza’s Ecoturism Cluster in celebrating the First Annual Spring Fair 2013.

Mexican Ambassador to the United Nations Participates in GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Roundtable Program
The Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations, Luis Alfonso de Alba, has confirmed his participation in the fifteenth edition of the GFDD continuous series “Global Roundtable.” Ambassador de Alba in GFDD’s honored guest in April at the GFDD New York office.

Seventh Edition of the Internship Certification Seminar Concludes Successfully
InteRDom’s annual Internship Certification Program was held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25, 2013, where thirteen representatives from various Dominican companies received training in how to create or improve internship programs through practical exercises, group dynamics and testimonies given by universities and organizations on best practices in this area.

InteRDom representatives were pleased to be one of the pioneer organizations at the first-annual Summer & Fall Internship Fair at The New School in New York City.

For first time the Organization of American States (OAS) has institutionally celebrated Earth day, and GFDD and FUNGLODE , were proud to join them on this momentous occasion to give proceedings a creative and somewhat youthful touch.

GFDD and FUNGLODE participate on behalf of Civil Society Organizations with International Financial and Trade Institutions in the High-Level Meeting of the Economic and Social Council
On April 22, GFDD contributed to the Special high-level meeting of ECOSOC with the Bretton Woods Institutions, the World Trade Organization and the UN Conference on Trade and Development with a written contribution on its stance on the important issue of financing for development.
