GFDD Present as 2nd Dominican Film Festival in New York Opens to a Full House
On Friday, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development participated in the 2nd Dominican Film Festival in New York (DFFNY) with the documentary, Ballplayer: Pelotero. This compelling documentary narrated by John Leguizamo is a gritty look inside the world of Major League Baseball (MLB) training camps in the Dominican Republic. Miguel Angel and Jean Carlos are two of the top prospects at an MLB training camp.

III DREFF Convenes First Volunteer Meeting
On Tuesday, July 2, the organizers of the Third DR Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister institution in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will convene two separate meetings, one at 10 am and the other at 5 pm, to interview potential volunteers for the upcoming third edition of the Festival to be celebrated
September 4-8, 2013.
