With a Full House La Montaña Inaugurates the Dominican Film Showcase in Washington, D.C.
Before a full house the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), inaugurated the Dominican Film Showcase (DFS) in Washington,D.C on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with the presentation of the docudrama La Montaña, directed by Tabaré Blanchard and Iván Herrera. This event marked the beginning of a program that will run in the
capital of the United States until Sunday, November 23.

GFDD Attends UN Briefing Session on the Ebola Outbreak
On Thursday November 12 2014, a meeting was held at United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York to discuss the current status of the Ebola outbreak, in the presence of Dr. David Nabarro, UN system Senior Coordinator for the response to Ebola Virus Disease. GFDD staff was in attendance to report on the findings.
