  • Dr. Leonel Fernández Travels to Mexico, Ecuador and Argentina

    This past Sunday the President of the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode) and the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Dr. Leonel Fernández, began a trip to Mexico, Ecuador and Argentina, where he will attend several scheduled meetings.

  • GFDD/Funglode Awards Commemorate 10th Anniversary in 2016 Ceremony

    On Friday, March 24, in a ceremony led by president of GFDD/Funglode, Dr. Leonel Fernández, presented the 2016 Funglode/GFDD Awards, organized by the Center for Culture Studies and Editorial Funglode. The event marked the 10th anniversary of the Awards, aimed at incentivizing art and culture in the Dominican Republic.

  • Ambassador Mac-Donald States that “Its Important for Men to Fight for Gender Equality” at GFDD Side Event During CSW61

    Taking the opportunity of the 61st Session of the Commission on the Status of Women to raise awareness on social issues currently subjugating women and marginalized groups in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), in partnership with John Jay College of Criminal Justice (John Jay College), and several other NGOs, hosted a side event at UN Headquarters on Wednesday
    March 22, 2017.

  • Dozens of Students Celebrate International Day of Forests with DREFF and the National Botanical Garden

    Dozens of students from the educational centers, the Center of General and Service Studies (CEGES, for its acronym in Spanish) and the Capotillo Educational Center of Santo Domingo commemorated the International Day of Forests at the National Botanical Garden (JBN, for its acronym in Spanish) in an activity planned by the Dominican Agroecological Society with the purpose of strengthening and developing knowledge about the environment among children from vulnerable
    communities.
