Celebrating Mother’s Day in Style!
On May 10, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and the Dominican Republic Embassy in the United States hosted an arts and crafts bazaar celebrating Mother’s day. Local artisans from the Dominican Republic visited Washington, DC to participate in several events and showings, including Passport DC, and made a stop in their busy agenda to meet and greet, and also sell their artisanal creations, to GFDD’s friends in a more intimate space.

DREFF and the Cinemateca Dominicana Will Exhibit Environmental Films to Celebrate World Environment Day
To celebrate World Environment Day, held annually throughout the world on June 5, the Dominican Environmental Film Initiative (DREFF) and the Cinemateca Dominicana will host free film showings on various environmental issues. The films will be exhibited, free of charge, from June 1 through the 6 at the Film Archive Cinema, situated in Santo Domingo’s Cultural Plaza.
