Premiere of GMAI Documentary Film Juan Bosch: Solo Letras
The documentary film produced by the Global Media Arts Institute, Juan Bosch: Solo Letras, was premiered June 8, during the Centenary Celebration of the Birth of Juan Bosch, celebrated June 8-12, 2009. Juan Bosch: Solo Letras is an artistic representation of Coronada Pichardo Niño’s book Juan Bosch y la Canonización de la Narrativa Dominicana.

New Perspectives of the Dominican Republic Exhibition Major Success
A major success. An exhibition never before seen in the Dominican Republic. A reunion of Dominicans with their compatriots and their countryside. GFDD and FUNGLODE Officially Open the Juan Bosch Library
On Monday, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) officially re-opened its Documentation and Information Management Center, renaming it the Juan Bosch Library. The dedication of the library was attended by various donors whose contributions made possible the construction of the new facility. Jesús Frías, a Global Media Arts Institute staff member, is presently participating in the teleSUR training program, “Audiovisual Journalism,” in Venezuela, in order to strengthen the capabilities of GMAI in the areas of broadcast journalism, audiovisual editing and television production.
