The second Dominican Get-Together (DGT) of this year brings to the city of New York Dominican multifaceted artist Xiomara Fortuna. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and researcher of Dominican culture, with over 38 years of musical career. In this complimentary event, which will take place on April 17, the audience will have the opportunity to talk with Xiomara about her career and her life. In this live concert Xiomara will perform some of her most famous songs.

GFDD and FUNGLODE are honored to announce the second revised edition of the New Perspectives: Dominican Republic photo book. The new edition, which came out in September has been registered under the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) system, which is a unique numeric commercial book identifier system, making the publication accessible to a wider audience.

GFDD Inaugural Press Conference with Members of the New York Area Press
Members of the Spanish-speaking New York metropolitan area press, along with the diplomatic corps, joined Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) executives and staff, for its inaugural press conference. The focus of the press conference was to bring to light the Foundation’s work. The event, which included brunch, was held at the Roger Smith Hotel in Manhattan.
