  • DREFF Opens Designated ”Green” Area to Help Promote Environment Preservation and Education Initatives

    The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) and the Vida Azul Foundation signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement on a significant  initiative aimed at raising awareness in children and adults on the importance of preserving the environment. The educational program of activities will be carried out at the recently opened Espacio Verde (Green Space), located in the Sambil
    Commercial Center of Santo Domingo.

  • 2014 University of Rhode Island Winter Programs Come to a Successful Close

    The two simultaneous University of Rhode Island January Programs hosted by InteRDom  came to a close on Thursday, January 16 after an engaging two-week agenda of seminars, lectures, field trips and service projects for the largest group InteRDom has hosted to date–  24 political science and nursing students and 5 professors.

    Staying up-to-date on current study abroad trends and practices is vital for the evolution of all international education programs.  In order to discuss new innovations and demands in the field of education abroad, and to form new relationships with study abroad professionals from different universities, representatives from InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic will attend the 2013 CIEE Annual

    from November 20-23 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  • President Fernandez Visits with Head of CLAS at Georgetown University

    During his visit to Washington DC, the former President of DR, Leonel Fernandez visited Georgetown University to meet with the Director of the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), Mark Chernick, to continue to fortify ties between their respective institutions and the Dominican Republic.
