    The 25th Annual Conference of the Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC) came to a close on Saturday, February 22 in Bogotá, Colombia with the announcement that InteRDom would host the 2015 edition of the conference at its parent institution, FUNGLODE’s, headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

    The FUNGLODE-hosted workshop, “The Art of the Interview: Techniques for Establishing Good Dialogue in the Production of a Documentary,” introduced French filmmaker Yan Arthus-Bertrand’s new documentary Human as well as serving as a practical session wherein part of the film’s technical team explained to the audience about the methods they use in doing the film’s interviews and shared tips on how to connect with their interview subjects.

    The Executive Director of the International Advisory Committee of Science and Technology (CIACT), Ambassador José Santana; the Dean of the School of Education of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Evarista Matías, and the Executive Director of the Propagas Foundation, Claudia Catrain, called for the improvement of the Dominican education system according to Dominican realities, but take into account the experience of successful education systems, such as the one in
    place in Finland.
