  • Dominican Students Conclude Classes at NYU

    On August 13, six Dominican students awarded scholarships from the Global Multimedia Arts Institute (GMAI), New York University’s Opportunity Program and the One Race Film Foundation partook in the graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of the six-week course, during which student productions were screened.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Organize Panel Discussion on Payment for Ecological Services

    On August 18, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in collaboration with the Organization of the American States’ Department of Sustainable Development (DDS/OAS), organized a Panel Discussion on Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) in Latin America and the Caribbean at FUNGLODE headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

  • Applications Are Being Accepted for Spring Internships

    The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is currently accepting applications for the Spring Semester (January 5 –April 17, 2010). The deadline to submit applications is November 6, 2009.

  • DRGFF Representatives Attend World-Renowned Gramado Film Festival in Brazil

    Representatives of the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), attended the thirty seventh edition of the popular Gramado Film Festival Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil, August 9-15, 2009.

  • Night of Dominican Shorts at FUNGLODE

    On Saturday, August 29, 2009, the Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will present an evening of Dominican shorts produced by Dominican students at Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba during the 2008-2009 academic year.
