  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Launch InteRDom Webpage in Spanish and English

    In order to reach a broader audience and better suite the needs of its user community, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) are launching an InteRDom website in Spanish and English.

  • GFDD, FUNGLODE and Ibermedia Award Scholarships to Study Film in Cuba

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Ibermedia have awarded three Dominican students scholarships to study film at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (International School for Film and Television – EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. The Ibermedia Program promotes the creation of Ibero-American audiovisual space by providing financial resources for the production and distribution of films
    made by Latin American filmmakers.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Host Panel on DR-CAFTA in New York

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) organized a panel on the US, Dominican Republic and Central American Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA) on September 20, 2007 at the City University of New York (CUNY) as part of Dominican Week in the United States.

  • Panel Discussion on Constitutional Reform Featuring President Leonel Fernández

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) organized a panel discussion on constitutional reform on September 18, 2007, at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC.

  • Report Card on Education in Central America and the Dominican Republic

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Inter-American Dialogue’s Partnership for Educational Revitalization of the Americas (PREAL) organized the program: Report Card on Education in Central America and the Dominican Republic: “A Lot to Do,” on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington DC.

  • Present Latin American Context and Perspectives

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) in association with Georgetown University’s Center for Latin American Studies and the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service organized a presentation and discussion session with Dominican President, Leonel Fernández, Tuesday, September 18, 2007, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, at Georgetown University.

  • GFDD, FUNGLODE, CSIS and Inter-American Dialogue Present: Panel Discussion on Constitutional Reform

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), the Center for Strategic Studies and Inter-American Dialogue will present a panel discussion on constitutional reform featuring keynote speaker, Leonel Fernández, President of the Dominican Republic and Honorary President of GFDD and FUNGLODE. The President’s address: “Constitutional Reform: Democracy and Rule of Law in the Dominican Republic,” will emphasize the democratic
    processes taking place within the nation.

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) are pleased to announce that they are organizing a presentation and discussion session with Dominican President, Leonel Fernández, in association with Georgetown University’s Center for Latin American Studies and the Edmund A.
